We’ll begin our journey paddling out toward a well-known gathering spot for bottlenose dolphins. With a bit of luck and a quiet approach, we may see them surfacing and feeding in their natural habitat, offering unforgettable moments just a paddle’s length away.

From there, we’ll wind our way deep into the salt marsh, a hidden world of winding waters and wildlife activity that comes alive with the tide. Think of it as a saltwater safari—home to ospreys, herons, egrets, jumping mullet, and maybe even the occasional sea turtle. Every twist in the creek reveals something new.

From May - August we'll also be able to take a look at and discuss the loggerhead turtle nests.

Various birds will most likely be around, including ospreys, herons, and egrets - and possibly a bald eagle!

This lagoon tour is usually an easier paddle than the farther south beach lagoon tour because of the protection from sand dunes and trees on the ocean side, and the islands mainland on the other side.

Join us for a rare and thrilling kayak adventure to Morgan Island, better known by locals and curious visitors alike as "Monkey Island." Home to a free-roaming colony of rhesus monkeys, this island off the coast of St. Helena Sound is steeped in mystery and scientific intrigue—and only accessible by water.

On this exclusive 3–4 hour expedition, we’ll paddle approximately 8 miles round-trip through scenic tidal creeks and open waters, keeping an eye out for dolphins, coastal birds, and other wildlife along the way. The real excitement builds as we approach Monkey Island, where—if luck and timing are on our side—you may just catch a glimpse of the elusive primates moving through the trees or along the shoreline.

While land access is strictly prohibited, the thrill of floating nearby and watching these secretive inhabitants from the safety of your kayak makes for a truly unforgettable experience. Your guide will share the fascinating backstory of how the monkeys came to live here, why they remain, and the rumors that continue to swirl around the island.

⚠️ This tour is for ages 16+ and is designed for intermediate to advanced paddlers only, due to distance, open water crossings, and potential wind/tidal conditions.
